“I wonder if that would be a good distraction. Throwing a chunk of venison at them and running off. Probably wouldn't work very well."
"Well, it depends," Del chuckled. "If it's something like a bear, than maybe. Dunno about actual people, though." It was rather hard for him to hold back a laugh this time around. "They might look at you like you're crazy, I'm sure, and it might stall them for a few minutes, sure, but....."
He never really considered that as a way of stalling enemies, no matter how comical it was. It would probably work, although he would probably look like a lunatic, going around and throwing meat and other types of food at people just to distract them for a second or two. Although it was pretty comical, he was sure that he wasn't going to use that as a source of distraction. Sheogorath and those in his court might, however, although he didn't plan on joining them for a long while, either.
“Are you always this hard on him?”
Glancing once towards Titan, where he lay on in front of the tent, and shrugged. "Well, if he's misbehaving, yeah," the Argonian said, "though not often. I mean, he usually behaves better when it's just me an' him, I guess. I think strangers just make him a little off, is all. 'Sides, he usually knows better. Usually."
Titan was a good dog, he had to admit, although sometimes it seemed that he just liked to test time from time to time, to make sure he was paying attention and whatnot. That got annoying frequently, to say the least, although he tried not to let his temper get the better of him, especially with a dog. He really didn't have a temper, although it depended on the situation, really. He was usually nice to Titan compared to how he could be if someone made him mad or he was on the verge of killing someone. Or, you know, someone wasn't listening very well. Though, Titan never really seemed to do too well around strangers to begin with, so he usually let it slide. Any other time, he was a rather good dog, so he just figure it was because that they had just met Licia. Maybe if they ever saw each other again in the future, he would act more like a behaved dog.
“Thanks. I’ll heal your hands after we’ve eaten.”
That sounded about alright. He was sure that he could live with eating with his hands for a few minutes, anyway. They weren't really hurting him, although the stinging and throbbing sensation was getting rather annoying. He'd just get over it. It wasn't like he hadn't faced far worse than that, anyway. He could remember getting stabbed through the side once, and he was sure that that went pretty well. So what was two slightly burnt hands to him? Obviously not much of a problem, really.
“Good meat. You’ve cooked it for just the right amount of time."
"Why, thank you," Del replied as he managed to get a rather less burnt part of the venison peeled off from the rest, and thus eating it. Really, he didn't notice how hungry he was until he ate something. At least he knew how to cook!

Felicia let out a small laugh. “I might test that out sometime, probably against something small though. Wouldn’t want to get too cocky.” While it had a slim chance of working, it still would be interesting to the look on someone’s face. Or something. But Felicia wasn’t careless enough to do that. The thieving part of her would take control and she would end up trying to plan out every single little detail she could think of. The venison on a stick wouldn’t even come into play, even as a last resort. “Don’t know when though. Might not work.” She mumbled more to herself that to Del. Felicia had no idea where she would use it though. That was the thing that bugged her more than anything. It would only work as a decoy on people for a couple of seconds and Felicia wouldn’t make much of a get away with that. Animals were a different case though. While it might prove to be a bit more of a distraction, the choice between catching a live, much bigger prey rather than a smaller one wouldn’t be that hard to make. It wasn’t like she could outrun a bear or a wolf, even if she wasn’t tired.
Letting out another chuckle, Felicia looked over at the dog again. “That makes sense. He’s not as used to strangers scents as much as his own masters, it would put him off a bit.” Her expression smoothed out as she looked at the animal. “Maybe it’s the food we’re cooking. Putting him off a bit.” She mused, her gaze moving from Titan to the food cooking over at the fire. It hadn’t been long enough for her to be able to turn it yet, but Felicia could already smell it. The lavender made the air smell that little bit nicer and she highly doubted that it wouldn’t leave an impact on the meat itself. Not after she’d rubbed it over the meat itself. It wouldn’t necessarily go all the way through, but the ‘crust’ of the meat would definitely taste nicer. There was also the scent of the venison cooking in the air as well, but that was most likely from both pieces of meat that had been cooked anyway. She felt her mouth watering as she thought about the meat already in front of her. Felicia quickly swallowed and looked down at the meat. Her hands were hung in mid air and she quickly went and put another piece of venison in her mouth.
“You’re very welcome Del.” Felicia nodded in his direction, putting another piece of meat in her mouth. It almost fell apart in her mouth and the juices welled in her mouth. ‘Mother almighty.’ She thought. It was hard for anyone else’s cooking to compete with her mothers cooking, but this was definitely one of the best pieces of venison she’d tasted. Maybe it was the hunger talking, but the meat seemed to melt within her mouth. It wasn’t long before she’d gone thought about half of the piece of meat that the Argonian had given her. Felicia nearly forgot about her own piece cooking on the fire and got up to turn it around. She had to angle it well enough so it wouldn’t fall and start cooking on one of the already cooked sides. It took her about a minute or so before she sat down again and dug into the meat. It wasn’t long before Felicia had finished off the rest of the meat and only one strand was left sitting on the plate. She quickly finished the meat off and placed the plate next to her. “Well that was a lovely meal, thank you very much Del.”

“I might test that out sometime, probably against something small though. Wouldn’t want to get too cocky.”
"Ha, almost wanna try it on some of my comrades back at the companions," he said with a chuckle. "'M sure they'd look at me funny at first, though they usually get strange or bad humor. Usually."
He usually liked the Companions. A place to sleep, a meal to eat, and a bunch of people you who you knew and didn't feel awkward or strange around. Although, they could usually be brutal or strange sometimes, but, strangely enough, Del felt like he fit in there. Well, sometimes; most of the people he had met there were Nords, with the occasional Elf or Redguard, so he sometimes felt like the odd one out, due to not looking even the least bit man like the rest of them did. They didn't seem to care much, though. As long as you could fight, do your job right, and earn the coin to both make the Companions coin, yourself coin, and earn your keep, you could a dog mutant and they'd probably still take you.
The only group he had heard of that rivaled them were the Blades, however they seemed long since abandon until recently, when the Dragoborn came back. It would be quite interesting to join them, to say the least. To fight Dragons sounded interesting enough, however he really didn't want to do such a thing by himself, or at all, really. He was sure that he would get eaten alive or something like that. With his luck, anyway.
"Your food smells good there," he couldn't help but comment when he realized that the smell wafting around was that.
He wasn't the one to cook all fancy like, however she seemed to be doing a pretty good job about it. He wasn't the one to cook some sort of nice meal, of course, due to the fact that he never really cared for them unless he had the time. And as of late, time didn't really seem to be on his side too much. He was usually working, which he didn't mind doing, but working didn't seemed to abide him much time when he wanted it. He would probably have to make time on his own at some point, although first he would have to stop taking all of these missions. Ha, as if ever. He quite enjoyed traveling around, it seemed, and the only way to do so without seemed suspicious was to take missions. Most Nords didn't seem to like others of different races, and he had heard that up in Windhelm, it was the worst.
“Well that was a lovely meal, thank you very much Del.”
"Well, I wouldn't necessarily call it a meal," he snorted as he, too, finished what chunk of meat he had.

Felicia let out a small laugh and wiped her hands on the trousers. She would have to get them washed when she got back to Whiterun. “We should try it and report back if we ever run into each other again.” It sounded like something fun to do anyway. Even if it failed it would make for a good story to tell someone and would most likely get a few laughs from her family. “Hopefully they’ll laugh with you, not at you.” She nearly grimaced at the thought. The last thing she wanted was to be laughed at by people when she told them she’d tried to fight off an enemy with a hunk of venison on a stick. The members at the Thieves Guild wouldn’t take it all that lightly if the story got around to them. She’d get constantly tormented by them for weeks if they found out. Maybe it wasn’t something she would outwardly share if it failed in case she did get laughed at. Though if she got a good response from her parents and from a few other people, Felicia might tell a few others. She wouldn’t risk telling the Guild though, they were always too serious about things for her to be able to get a laugh out of them. She liked their company on the odd occasion, but the serious atmosphere in there could make people feel a little odd at times.
Glancing over at the cooking meat, Felicia let a small smile creep onto her face. She had never been the one for cooking. She never had the patience for it. If she wanted food quickly, she’d go to a nearby inn to get a cooked meal. Only if she was travelling would she cook her own meals and that was if she hadn’t already got some sorted away in a pack. She looked back over at the male Argonian, the small smile still on her face. “Thanks. Adding lavender can add a bit of extra taste on the outside of it. Makes it smell nicer too.” Not that the smell of cooking meat wasn’t already nice, the lavender just made it smell a bit nicer. It also took away the fact that she was cooking an animal and made it seem like it was some sort of herbal potion. Though not everyone was that gullible and the smell of meat alongside the lavender would often give it away. That reminder her, she needed to turn it again. Felicia stood up and made work of turning the spit around to a semi-cooked place. It took several attempts for to be able to get it stay on one side, but she was finally able to lean it at the right angle. “A few more minutes and it should be done.” She said, nodding at the meat, sitting back down.
Felicia let a shrug fall of her shoulders. “It’s better than nothing. Anyway, I would’ve ate something of the sort if I was back in Riften. Wouldn’t want anything too heavy before setting off.” That was if she’d have set off tonight. There wasn’t much else for her to do in Riften apart from maybe pick up a few extra jobs, sell a few things and make sure she was appropriately stocked up. She would’ve set off either this evening or tomorrow morning. The most she would’ve had, if not for the cooked meat would’ve been a loaf of bread and maybe some soup from the inn. “Since we’ve both finished, why don’t I heal your hands for you?” She moved into a squatting position and took a few steps towards Del. Felicia stopped a step or two away and held out her hands for his.
“Your hands please. It won’t hurt much. From what I remember, it’s feels like a slight tingle.”

Well, at least she knew what she was talking about when it came to cooking; Del really couldn't for the life of him. Maybe next time they ran into each other, he would try and have her cook something with whatever he had, instead. That really seemed like a better idea than him burning something - or someone - like he did this time. And that would probably save both of them the trouble of trying to peel the burnt skin off of the meat like they had to do this time. And the way that the meat was smelling, too, he would defiantly try to see if she could make it again when they ran into each other again. He was sure it wasn't too hard to find lavandar in the woods, anyway, so he would just make sure to find some and keep it on him until next time.
"A slight tingling?" he questioned with a smirk as he finished off his chunk of meat and made sure to wipe off his hands.
He hadn't ever had someone use magic on him; he used some on himself on the occasion that he got hurt for whatever reason, but he was sure that he hadn't ever had someone use healing magic on him. It felt kind of odd, he had to admit. He'd never used magic on anyone else, either, of course. He wasn't into destruction magic or any other kind, and tended to only use restoration magic. And that was when he needed to use it, of course. There were times when he played around with it to see if he could get better at it, of course, although not too much afterwards. He wouldn't mind this, of course, since he guessed that Felecia wouldn't try to do anything to him that harmed him even more.
"Alright," he said as he scooted over to the wood elf and offered his hands to the elf.
Again, he had to think of how strange this felt, although he was sure that she could probably do a better job of healing his hands than he could. He was used to stronger magic, because he always healed much bigger wounds, and he wasn't so sure that he had ever had to heal his hands before. Or at least, that small of a wound in that small of an area. Plus, he usually needed his hands for the healing part, anyway, so that would be kind of hard to heal in the first place.

Felicia pulled a face. She had never used restoration magic on anyone before. She barely used it on herself since she only used it if it was necessary. She didn’t use any other sort of magic and only did so if the situation called for it. Which was exceedingly rare for her. The only time she had had restoration magic done on her was when she’d fallen out of a tree and nearly carved her eye out. She now had a very faint scar above her eye, which was only visible if someone stared at her eye for a long period of time. They were lucky to see it, her war paint usually steered people off. She let a shrug fall off her shoulders. “From what I’ve been told and from the only time I felt it, it is. But I guess it depends on the person.” She knew people had different reactions to it depending on how it felt. She didn’t really remember her own experience since it had been a number of years ago now. But she’d heard stuff.
Before taking Del’s hands, Felicia twisted around and dragged her pack over behind her. While she had done this a few times, the few times she had done it had usually left her feeling a bit light headed and a bit drained of energy. It was a good thing she’d eaten before doing this, otherwise the consequences could be worse than just a little light headed. The pack allowed her to lean back slightly so that she wouldn’t hurt herself. If anything, Felicia hoped that she would just feel ever so light headed and drained of energy, like usual. Taking the Argonian’s hands in hers Felicia was a little surprised by the feel of them. She had never really held an Argonian’s hands before and they felt kind of..Scaley. She nearly squirmed and let go of Del’s hands, but kept her own wrapped around the males hands. They were bigger than hers, which was slightly daunting, but it was natural. Male’s hands always seemed to be larger than her own. She relaxed as best she could and concentrated on drawing the magic up. A few seconds passed by before she felt anything.
Directing the flow of energy into Del’s hands, Felicia felt a rush of magic as the skin of the hands healed over, making sure that all the injured parts smoothed out and returned the skin to how it was. Her chest seemed to swell with a very warm feeling as this happened and she could’ve sworn a smile flicked on her lips, even it was only for a few seconds. The injury wasn’t all that bad, but she enjoyed the feeling of the magic rushing through her body. However, it wasn’t until after she’d cut the magic off that she felt the drain of energy. Her face paled ever so slightly and she let go of the male’s hands to steady herself. “Well that was fun.”
